Living Springs Global Fellowship exists to glorify Jesus Christ by changing the future for vulnerable children in Uganda through Christ-centered education, compassionate care, healthcare, discipleship, and sustainable community development.
The BugiriSchool Project
Living Springs Global Fellowship is partnering with a local Christian organization in Bugiri, Uganda to build a boarding school serving vulnerable children currently living in the Bugiri Children's Centre, as well as qualified children throughout the surrounding community.
The goal is an excellent standard of Christian education, the kind of school a Ugandan family would choose on merit, paired with the safety, nutrition, healthcare and discipleship that make learning possible.
Explore the projectWhy a boarding school
- Learning needs stability
- Children already living at the Bugiri Children's Centre need somewhere to be all year, not only during school hours. Boarding keeps education, housing and care under one commitment instead of three fragile ones.
- Distance is a real barrier
- Qualified children from surrounding villages can be a long walk from any good school. Boarding removes the daily journey as a reason a bright child stops attending.
- Care and teaching reinforce each other
- Consistent meals, health, protection and discipleship are not extras bolted onto a school day. They are the conditions that let a child concentrate, stay enrolled, and finish.
AN EXISTING BOARDING SCHOOL IN MITYANA DISTRICT
How the campus comes together
- Phase 01
Boarding and care
Before we build a single classroom, we want every child to know they are safe, fed, and able to keep learning. This phase focuses on stabilizing their living environment: a secure place to sleep, regular meals, clean water, and basic care. At the same time, we will cover school fees and provide the materials and supplies they need for their existing education, so that learning does not stop while the campus grows.

The school is being built with a Ugandan Christian organization that was serving Bugiri long before Living Springs arrived and will be serving it long after any visiting team goes home. Local leadership decides what is needed; partnership abroad helps make it possible.
Five things must be true before a child can think about the future.
None of these work alone. A boarding school can hold learning, nourishment, safety, health, and discipleship together, consistently, over time.
- 01
A place to belong
A bed, three meals, and adults who know their name. Before anything can be taught, a child has to be able to stop worrying about tomorrow.
- 02
An education worth having
Real teaching from qualified teachers, in a language and standard that opens the door to secondary school rather than quietly closing it.
- 03
Health and protection
Care when they are sick, clean water, and clear safeguarding, so that illness or harm does not end a child's schooling.
- 04
Faith and character
Discipleship offered honestly and without coercion, alongside the ordinary formation of character that any good school hopes for.
- 05
A future they choose
Secondary school, a trade, a university place, a business. The point is not that a child is rescued. It is that a child gets to decide.
All five, for years at a time.
That is why long-term partnership matters more than a one-off appeal.
One gospel. Five ways it takes root.

Become a long-term partner in a child's future.
Nobody here is being rescued. Ugandan believers are building this school in their own community; partnership from abroad helps pay for it and prays for it. That distinction matters, and we intend to keep it.
Support the Vision
Give once, or partner monthly. Regular giving is what lets a school plan past the current term. It funds teachers and meals, not just bricks.
Become a Church Partner
A partner congregation commits to a Ugandan church and the school together through prayer, teaching exchange, shared mission, and giving that lasts longer than one appeal.
