Children's Care
Safe housing, nutrition, protection, and daily care.
Active
Care is not what happens around the school day. It is what makes the school day possible.
A child cannot learn while hungry, frightened, or unwell. Boarding care means consistent meals, a bed that is theirs, adults who know their name, clear child-protection standards, and the ordinary steadiness that lets a child think about the future instead of the next day.
Boarding means the organization takes on responsibility for a child's whole week, not six hours of it. Meals, rest, laundry, illness, homesickness, discipline, encouragement — the ordinary work of raising children, done consistently by adults who stay.
Child protection is part of this from the beginning rather than added later: clear safeguarding standards, staff who are trained and accountable, and a policy on photography and consent that puts a child's dignity ahead of a fundraising photograph.
Housing
A bed, somewhere to keep belongings, and a room that is not shared with strangers who come and go.
Nutrition
Regular meals planned for children who are growing and studying, not simply enough food to get through the day.
Protection
Safeguarding standards, trained staff, and a clear route for a child to raise a concern and be believed.
