Donor privacy

When you give to Living Springs Global Fellowship, you are trusting us with money and with your name. We treat the second as carefully as the first.

You can give without joining a mailing list, without being telephoned, and without your name appearing anywhere public. We do not publish donor lists, and we will not name you or the size of your gift without asking you first.

The giving platform you use passes us a record of the gift, which usually includes your name, your email address, the amount, and the date. Your card and bank details stay with the platform; they never reach this website or our records.

We keep those gift records so we can thank you, answer a question about a past gift, and keep the accounts a charity is required to keep.

Rarely, and with something to say. Field updates and prayer requests go out when there is real news from Bugiri, not on a schedule designed to keep you thinking about giving. You will not receive a series of escalating appeals, and we do not use urgency or guilt to raise money.

Giving does not automatically subscribe you to anything. Our updates are a separate choice, made by signing up.

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately. You can also write to us and say exactly how you would like to be contacted, including not at all, and we will follow it.

Ask us to correct or delete what we hold about you and we will, except where we are required to keep a record of a gift.

Gifts are processed by Subsplash Giving, PayPal, or Givebutter. Each is an independent company that handles your payment information under its own privacy policy and security standards, and each will send you its own confirmation. The privacy policy describes the wider picture of what this site collects.

We do not sell, rent, or trade donor information. It goes to the service providers who process a gift or send our email, to our own staff, and nowhere else except where the law requires it.

Many charities publish a stronger, permanent pledge on this point. Ours is a statement of current practice, and a formal donor privacy policy approved by our leadership will be published here once it is adopted. We would rather describe what we do today than promise something the organization has not yet formally resolved.
