Trust & transparency
Financial transparency
What we can currently evidence about the organization and its money, and a clear account of what is not yet published. Empty space here is deliberate.

Tax deductibility
A New Jersey 501(c)(3) public charity. Gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. We are not able to give tax advice, and if a gift matters to your return you should speak to your own adviser.
The IRS asks donors claiming a charitable contribution of $250 or more to hold a written acknowledgement from the charity. The giving platform you use will send you its own confirmation of the transaction. If you need a written acknowledgement from Living Springs itself, ask us and we will send one.
How gifts reach the work
Gifts are received through Subsplash Giving, PayPal, or Givebutter, and each platform charges its own processing fee before funds reach us. Unless a gift is given in response to a specific appeal, it is used where the need is greatest, at the direction of the organization.
We have not published a breakdown of program, administrative, and fundraising expense, and we are not going to estimate one. Those figures will appear here when they come from a completed filing rather than from a calculation made to look reassuring.
What we will publish, and when
As each of these becomes available and is approved for release, it will be posted in the documents section below:
- the IRS determination letter confirming 501(c)(3) status;
- our annual IRS return, in whichever form the organization is required to file;
- annual reports describing the year’s work and its cost;
- financial statements, and any independent audit if one is carried out;
- charitable solicitation registration, where we are registered;
- project reporting for the Bugiri School Project as construction progresses.
No independent audit has been carried out, and nothing on this page should be read as implying one. Our charitable registration status in New Jersey has not been confirmed for publication, so we make no claim about it here.
Documents
There are no public documents to show yet. Rather than post a placeholder file or a document we have not been cleared to publish, this section stays empty until real filings are in hand. It will fill in on its own as they arrive, organized by year.
Looking for something specific before you give? Ask us, and see donor privacy for how we treat your information.
