Accessibility

Living Springs Global Fellowship wants this site to be usable by everyone who comes to it, including people who navigate by keyboard, use a screen reader, need larger text, or are sensitive to motion. That is a matter of respect, not a checklist.

We build and test against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, level AA, and we treat it as the target we are working toward. We have not commissioned an independent audit, so we do not claim full conformance, and we will not describe the site as certified or fully compliant on the strength of our own testing alone.

• A skip link as the first thing you reach with the keyboard on every page.
• Semantic landmarks and a single meaningful heading per page, with headings in a logical order.
• Full keyboard operation, including the navigation menu, the mobile menu, and the image viewer, each of which closes with Escape and returns focus where it came from.
• Visible focus outlines that we have not designed away.
• Labelled form fields, with errors and confirmations announced to screen readers.
• Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and empty alt on decorative ones.
• No content that appears only on hover, and touch targets sized for fingers rather than cursors.
• Colour contrast checked against the palette rather than chosen by eye, and colour never used as the only way to convey meaning.
• Pinch zoom left enabled, and layouts that reflow rather than scroll sideways.
• Respect for the reduced-motion setting in your operating system. Decorative animation and the background lighting effects stop, and the page remains complete without them.
• Nothing essential depends on advanced graphics. If your device or browser cannot render them, or you have disabled them, every page still works.

Being honest about what we have not finished:

• No independent accessibility audit has been carried out, and no assistive-technology user testing has been done yet. Our testing has been internal.
• The giving forms on the donation page are supplied and rendered by outside platforms. We can choose which platforms to use and raise problems with them, but we do not control their markup. If one of them is difficult to use, tell us and we will help you give another way.
• Documents added in future, such as financial filings, may be PDFs produced by others, and their internal accessibility may vary.

If any part of this site is hard to use, we will get you the information directly. Ask and we will send it as plain text or large print, read it to you, or take your details and arrange a gift over email rather than through a form. There is no wrong way to ask.

Reports of accessibility problems are genuinely welcome, and they are the fastest way this page gets shorter. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what happened, along with your browser or assistive technology if you know it.
